A longtime friend and #VARSITY human is in the T&T house!!… I am pumped to welcome Carol Fabrizo to the T&T mic, we are going to cover all things personal evolution, leadership, and coaching. Carol has a WEALTH of experience equal parts personal and professional. She has tackled the corporate world running with the c-suites and VP’s and is now a full-time entrepreneur. Carol is a longtime competitive athlete and gets some extra cardio being mom. Communication has been a running theme in Carol’s life and has now taken the opportunity as a coach to bring all of her expertise to the world to help us (individuals and businesses) consciously decide who we want to become and then help us design the process to make the transformation happen. Athletes know you need to keep good coaches in your life consistently, for the duration of your athletic career. Friendly PSA: We are all athletes in the game of life, needing to lean into that athletic mentality. Good coaches are essential/luxury and can streamline so many processes exponentially. Get someone around you that knows more than you. Check out what Carol has going on and get inspired to dial in and level up, the world is counting on each of us to seek our best selves and show up accordingly. That is the only way to real peace. #NoPressure 🙂
Life and leadership coaching. Leading with the heart vs. the resume. Trial and error. Failure and success. Core values and your personal journey. All things being on time. God, universe, Madonna… and expensive studies that prove we were right. Smart people finding even smarter people. Leading with the heart and humanizing the brand aka telling the truth. Being yourself and not over complicating it. But you probably will, so call Carol.
I am so excited about this- graceful disruptors in the CPG (consumer packaged goods) space!! You know I love my REAL natural CPG’s, but they are oh-so-hard to come by! When I saw this product, I knew I had to have a conversation with them and luckily, I happen to know someone directly in the mix. Sparkling water has been all the rage over the past 5+ years, with many debates around the “natural” flavoring. Yes, most of them are calorie free and the ingredients usually say, sparkling water and natural flavoring- not telling us much. The term “natural flavoring” can mean a lot and there are a lot of shades of grey here. Jump in on this convo to hear from Ted Grant, Co-Founder of Viveau, a sparkling mineral water with REAL ingredients. Ted is a longtime entrepreneur, Michelin-Star Chef, and Dad… in the pursuit of real, good, food. Ted shares his journey, passion, and expertise around seeking real ingredients and the new age process of leading with the heart (instead of chasing profitable margins). The consumer is evolving and so are SOME businesses around us, Ted and Viveau are excellent examples of disruptors “questioning a better way”, living by it, and reaping the rewards from it. If you are an entrepreneur, foodie, chef, or anyone looking to change up the traditional ways of business/living, this one’s for you. Enjoy!
Graceful disruption. Sparking water and natural flavors not being so natural. Passion over paycheck, that leads to a paycheck. Building the right team and creating the right culture aka… The vibe attracts the tribe. Being in alignment with your personal and professional life. Grassroots to boardroom. Creative marketing strategy and evolution. Strategic partnerships. Health, wealth, and balance. Maybe a good cocktail recipe or two… 🙂
I am excited to welcome Laura Timbrook to the T&T mic! Laura is a national board-certified health and wellness coach, international speaker, fellow podcasters, and well-being strategist for the manufacturing industry. Health and wellness in the corporate environment has never been more important than it is right now. We not only need to feel safe at work #covid, but ideally, we WANT to actually be there. The old school way of leading by authority and grinding out 40+ hours a week regardless if you are passionate about your work or not- no longer suffices. We spend so much time at work and with our fellow employees- most likely building someone else’s dream (even if you love it), it’s critical that employers (or any situation leading people) foster a whole human, welcoming environment, meaning that wellness and welling being come first for the team and community at large. Dialing into corporate wellness can not only build moral and retain employees longer, it can also make employees more productive, happier at work, and less likely to take additional sick days off. If you are a business owner, coach, parent, or leader in any capacity, this is the convo for you! Facilitate an environment of well-being and you will reap the world in so many ways, including your pocketbook. You might even be doing more correctly than you think and/or it could be small steps of changes that kick off a world of positive change. Get healthy, take change, and enjoy life… it’s that simple:)
Corporate wellness. Well-being strategy. Business and health and the pay off? Manufacturing and shirt worker industries. Mastering our mindset and shifting perspectives. Small steps to big change. Positivity approaching change and embracing the successes you are already doing. Balance and not taking away our beer. Life skills through work change. The younger generation and the corporate world. Gracefully disrupting the health and wellness approach and industries.
I felt compelled to chat on this topic today- lots going on in life, so let’s discuss! Entitlement is a funny thing… in fact it’s an imaginary one, because when it comes down to it, we are not entitled to a damn thing at the end of the day. Let’s be clear, I am not talking human rights or social issues in general, I am talking about day to day, family, friend, work, relationships- life stuff. Society has set out a list of ideals for us that “we should do” or “should expect”, but we are here to gracefully disrupt those sold realities and dial back into our own awareness of what we do and do not need. Maybe you need up your protection of your own energy OR perhaps this is reminder not to unnecessary unload or expect something that is not entitled to you. Life ebbs and flows, we have all been on both sides of the coin, the magic happens in the shift back to center. On this cast I dig into personal responsibly and why it’s important to protect your energy. Specifically, we discuss 15 ways to protect that energy from MindFool.com and 5 specific ways to protect your energy if you are an empath from Dr. Judith Orloff, UCLA Psychiatric Clinical Faculty. I have coached, managed, hired, and lead hundreds of humans and there is one thing I know FOR SURE: you have to meet people where they are at. Worry about what you can control and show up as your best self, everything else is on the individual. Be mindful of what you give and of what you take- the more awareness we can create the better it is for everyone. I hope my lessons can streamline some learnings in your life!
Protect Your Energy in 15 Easy Ways

We are energy beings surrounded by everything made of energy. There is always an exchange of energy going around and involving us. The things you do and the people you associate yourself with have a way of transferring their energy into you. Therefore, it’s better to understand the importance of protecting your energy.
Personal responsibility. Entitlement. Not taking on the victim role. Protecting your energy. Self-care is not selfish. Boundaries, space, and absorbing positivity. Everything we learned in kindergarten is all we needed to know. Turmeric & Tequila. Meditation, mediation, and mindfulness. Love and positivity are choices.
I am so excited for this conversation!! I am welcoming Colorado native and longtime LAX homie turned full time artist, Cora Sexton Wheeler, to the T&T mic! I have known Cora for over 20 years and I never even knew she was this amazing artist, so I too, was pumped to hear her journey from D1 athlete, to dental school, to becoming a mom, and then taking art on full time. Little did I know that the creative energy was there all along- like myself ha (lax and beer was a enough to keep us friends this long- obvi). Cora’s shares her process and how each piece of that journey had to unfold in its own time only to compliment the art and inspiration oh-so-perfectly now. She even uses dental tools for some of her creations! The universe does not play. I love highlighting T&T creatives because I firmly believe that creativity in any form unites us and from there we can open to heavier covno and ideally a united world… #LongTermGoals folks. If you are a budding artist or someone like Cora that has had it all along, this is an awesome cast for you to be inspired to fuel that creative heart and potentially take it on full time when the time if right. You never know where the destination truly lands, but you might as well as paint the path the color you want along the way:)
LACROSSE. Lacrosse makes friends. Turmeric and Tequila. Good times and great oldies. The journey and all the plans that didn’t, but did work out. Moms, professionals, artists, creatives, and being all of those things. Balance= Rose. Family legacy and philanthropy. Inspiration and creation. Maturing priorities and recognizing what you really give a shit about.
I have been asked MANY TIMES why I say “varsity” and what does it mean? SO we are going to unpack my labeling of varsity vs. jv and what it means to me. I am not sure where it really started, but it just kept going as an easy, time effective way to be conscious of varsity moments and JV ones. Meaning that a “varsity” state is not permanent. We all have JV moments, moments where we know we could have done better, knowing that within that JV moment there is a lesson offering an opportunity to level up.
A varsity state of mind or a varsity human are 3 main things:
– Constantly Evolving
This really breaks down to internal thoughts and how I consciously (or unconsciously) work to (gracefully) disrupt my own internal monologue, aka work to maintain varsity status as much as I can. I found an amazing article from Huffpost Contributor, Judith Johnson, “Do You Know HOw Powerful Your Thoughts Are”, that breaks it all down . Judith breaks down in a simple, digestible way. She shares the science, the importance, and the solution to get your mind right, present, and authentic. It’s not easy or constant, but it’s doable and necessary if you seek a varsity way of life:).
Varsity vs. JV. Autopilot vs. Authenticity. internal monologue and creating the reality you want. Graceful Disruption. Mindset and attitude. Operating in alignment and letting go of the past. Creating a story and how it’s poison. A new mindset, a new way of living.
Get your money right- right now! I am so excited for this conversation with Ryan Harris, Super Bowl Champion and Board Member of The Economic Literacy of Colorado (EconLitCo). We discuss money: saving, spending, and lifestyle. All things start with the right mindset and who you surround yourself with- football AND financials. Ryan shares his journey and why is passionate about financial literacy particularly with our youth. He shares his view on gracefully disrupting the current school curriculum and adding financial training to the mix, including educating the educators so the impact and lessons continue to carry on. Bill Tortorici, Chief Philanthropy Officer of EconLitCo, adds,“financial literacy/education is not mandated within the Colorado Education System. This is the real crux of the issue. Lack of access to this information is unacceptable for everyone and it certainly exacerbates existing social inequities. There are only a handful of states that make this particular topic a priority.”
Equality is a big topic on T&T, as you know, and money is a major divider. Many of us were not taught how to save, invest, or aim for long-term wealth. The learning starts now! Get your money right and gain freedom- personally, professionally, spiritually. Play the game (on and off the field) with honor, don’t let the game play you. Thank you, Bill and Ryan, for the time, energy, and passion behind this important conversation. You are both true winners and I am inspired by your all-around daily actions… #InfluencersIRL 🙂
Economic Literacy. Disrupting the current education system. Money, wealth, power. Equality and the financial divide. Kids and money, adults and money. How to get financially literate now. I am excited to welcome my longtime friend and fellow Denver base company owner, Jessica Crow, back to the T&T mic! Jessica spent the bulk of her career amongst the top of the corporate world- leading, evolving, and learning. In that time, she became a master of change/transformation and jumped the corporate ship to establish Apogy, her firm specializes in proven strategies for achieving change success. Like Jessica I have also had my share of learnings in the personal and professional realm and one thing Jessica and I absolutely agree on and suggest is a GREAT coach. Jessica and I were both athletes growing up and like many of you we didn’t really have any coaches after sports ended. On this LIVE Club House conversation Jessica and I discuss the importance of a great coach and why it’s even more important as we “grow up”. We have both explored different coaches for personal and professional reasons and we share why we think these were such important moves for your own success and how it helped facilitate positive change all the way around.
Jessica is also an excellent example of the Turmeric & Tequila life: alongside her professional success, she is a certified yoga instructor and brings her understanding of the mind-body connect to her professional pursuits. If you listen to T&T you know that I believe it all connects, you can’t leave any big holes in your game:) We need to be the whole package to achieve personal and professional success. We are seeing so many major companies, brands, and leaders humanize their professional systems. I have no doubt that Jessica and companies like her’s will be on the forefront of the next wave of uber success professional situations and more importantly, happy, balanced working humans:)

Apogy is the culmination of this knowledge, combined with best practices and proven strategies for achieving change success.
I’m so excited to be with you all once again on our weekly digital meetup… AND I’m so f-ing TIRED. It’s such a blessing to be in 2021 and back to the swing of things, but it’s also tough to manage the 0-100 pace! On this cast, it’s just you and I unpacking my hectic day that brought me to a few tears of frustration, but more importantly my 4-step process to organize the chaos and alleviate the overwhelm. I considered taking a week off of the cast, but then I knew if this is coming up in my world, someone else likely needs to hear it. I hope these 4 steps can take you back to a place of peace and create some space between you and your problems at hand. Usually the solution reveals itself if we can create that space and take a deep breath (and make a to-do list). It’s a quick one, enjoy and then get back to relaxing… man, that T&T balance never really gets any easier
